Q. What are the minimum system requirements for a printer without an in-built PC?
A. You will need a PC (laptop or desktop) running either Windows 2000 (latest service pack should be installed) or
Windows XP service pack 2 with at least 2 free USB ports, 1 for the printer and the other for
the camera inside the printer. The USB ports need not be USB 2.0. You will need 1Gb of free disk space for the installation and should ideally
have a minimum of 512Mb of ram. There is no Mac version of the software at this time.

Q. How can I get round an error message referring to "selected collating system"?
A. Please download this file and copy the file (rotated.ltt) from the zip folder
into your program directory. Assuming you installed to the default directory, the path to copy this file into would be
c:\program files\nail art\nail art painter plus
Then perform a restart of your PC.

Q. If I try to print a picture that should cover the whole nail, it prints correctly in the middle of the nail,
but on the edges of the nail the picture is fading. Why is this?
A. Within the nail art software, go to option and other setting. Here you will find a threshold number.
By default it is set to 2. If the curve of nails is large, you can try 3.

Q. Why does the image look faded?
A. The nails could be too low in the hand rest. Make sure you adjust the fingers so from a side view,
you can see the highest point of the nail aligned with the top of the hand rest.

Q. The nail is completely covered by the image on the screen so why didn't the sides of the nail print?
Why is the tip of long sloped nails not as vibrant as the rest of the nail?
A. To help understand what is happening, think about your office printer and how it prints on a flat sheet of paper.
Now think of a camera and how it sees things in one dimension. Considering that your typical nail is not completely flat and there
are curves to it in one direction or another, the portion of the nail that is the flattest and closest to the ink cartridge will get the
most vibrant print.
Experiment with widening and lengthening the image on the edit screen before printing.
This will instruct the device to print where it may not have been able to before.

Q. Is it necessary to apply all of the different coatings in the correct order?
A. Yes, the base coat acts as a primer. The special coat tells the printer where to print.
The image receptive coat (IRC) acts like paper for the ink. The top coat seals and protects the image.
